Joey Chou Disney Parks 2023 by Dooney & Bourke

Get ready for a day at Disney Parks! The new Joey Chou Dooney & Bourke Collection was released on Monday, April 10, 2023 on Disney Store and it features all of the icons of Disney Parks. 

Joey Chou has worked with Disney for years now bringing his own spin on Disney classic and contemporary characters with his adorable art style. He is also a regular at Wonderground Gallery and Walt Disney World’s EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. 

“Joey Chou was born in Taiwan and grew up in Southern California. After graduating from Art Center College of Design with an illustration degree, he has been working as a Visual Development artist in feature and TV animation for the past ten years. He has also worked on a number of children’s book illustrations as well as some large-scale installations. His graphic style is influenced by many great illustrators of the 1960s.” – Disney Store website

This new collection features three different silhouettes: a tote bag, satchel and wristlet wallet. It features two different designs, including a scene for the tote bag and an allover print for the remaining silhouettes. 

The tote features a scene of some of the Disney Parks most beloved attractions and characters. The castle is featured prominently in the center with Tinker Bell flying overhead and fireworks above. There are other Disney attractions and characters surrounding the castle. We see the Jungle Cruise boat, Orange Bird, Jose from the Enchanted Tiki Room, the prison dog holding onto his key from Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain, the Hat Box Ghost from the Haunted Mansion, the Partner’s Statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse, the Cheshire Cat, it’s a small world, Mickey driving the railroad with Pluto following behind, Dumbo, Space Mountain and Stitch riding on a Space Mountain vehicle, and more!  

The tote and satchel also include a removable purple leather hangtag with the words “Design by Joey Chou for Disney.”  

The allover print features individual elements from the overall scene, including the castle, Tinker Bell, Partner’s Statue, Cheshire Cat, hippo from the Jungle Cruise, and more against a purple background with stars sprinkled throughout. 

The leather finishings are a dark purple color with silvertone hardware.
