No one knows how far you can go with the new Moana 2023 Collection by Disney Dooney & Bourke! The collection was released on Monday, April 17, 2023 on Disney Store!
It has been two years since the last Disney Dooney & Bourke Moana Collection was released in May 2021, so we are excited to see this new design.
This collection is inspired by the 2016 Walt Disney Studios feature film Moana. Moana is the daughter of a Polynesian chief, and the film tells of her adventures as she tries to save her people and village. Moana became one of the most popular contemporary Disney princesses after the film’s release.
The collection features three silhouettes: a backpack, a drawstring bag and a wristlet wallet. The backpack features a portrait of Moana. She is looking over her shoulder and off to the side. She is wearing her signature outfit along with a crown of leaves and flowers. Next to her are a cluster of three hibiscus flowers and the background is a light tan woven pattern. There is also a series of three shapes on the pattern, which I think represent fish.
Meanwhile, the drawstring bag and wallet feature a full color allover print of Moana in different poses along with Kakamora. The print also has outrigger canoes, silhouettes of the island, palm trees, leaves and flowers against a light tan background. The leather finishings are a brown rust color with contrast stitching and goldtone hardware.
