Mr. Toad

The Mr. Toad Collection by Dooney and Bourke was released on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 on Disney Store.  

“Come along! Hop on up here! We’ll go for a jolly ride!” 

This collection is inspired by Disney’s adaptation of “The Wind in the Willows,” which was part of the 1949 Disney film The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. This year also marks the 75th anniversary of The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. The film went on to inspire one of Disneyland Park’s original rides. Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride opened at Disneyland Park on opening day in July 1955, with its current iteration opening in 1983. 

On the attraction, guests take on the role of J. Thaddeus Toad as he drives his motorcar through chaotic adventures. Riders experience scenes of Toad Hall, the English countryside, and a thrilling near-collision with a train. The whimsical, somewhat zany ride is filled with unexpected turns and humorous scenes, making it a classic experience for all ages.

The handbag collection features a scene print of Mr. Toad on his motorcar driving through the English countryside. In addition, Ratty, Moley, Cyril, Weasel, sheep, police, and pedestrians are included in the scene. The scene features a Tudor-style house, trees, and green hills. 

The handbags feature brown leather finishings with green edging. Two silhouettes are included in this collection: a tote bag and a crossbody bag.
