Disney Afternoon Dooney & Bourke

Children of the ’80s and ’90s will rejoice at the sight of the Disney Afternoon Dooney and Bourke Collection! The Disney Afternoon Collection features all of your favorite Disney after school characters from shows like Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers, DuckTales, Gummi Bears, TaleSpin, Goof Troop and Darkwing Duck!

The Dooney and Bourke Disney Afternoon collection was released on Disney Store and Disney Parks on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.

The Disney Afternoon refers to a two-hour block of after-school television programming that ran during the 1990s. The six original Disney Afternoon animated series are featured in this collection. 

The characters included on the print are:

• Sunni Gummi, Tummi Gummi, Cubbi Gummi and Zummi Gummi from Gummi Bears
• Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Webigail (Webby) Vanderquack and Gizmoduck from Duck Tales
• Chip, Dale and Monterey Jack from Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers
• Baloo, Kit Cloudkicker, Louie and Rebecca Cunningham from TaleSpin
• Darkwing Duck, Launchpad McQuack, Gosalyn Mallard, Honker Muddlefoot and Gizmoduck from Darkwing Duck
• Goofy, Max and PJ (Pete Junior) from Goof Troop

In addition to the characters, the print includes retro 1990s details, such as geometric shapes in purple, pink, yellow and blue, against a dark blue background. 

This latest collection from the Artist Series features artwork by Disney Design Group designer Cortney Williams, who also designed the Charms and Disney Cruise Line Charms collections. An artist bio card is included with the handbags in this collection.

As with the previous Disney’s Artist Series collections, each handbag includes a leather hangtag embossed with the artist’s signature and the words “For Disney.” The handbags have brown leather finishings with contrast stitching and red trim.
